The short version
- One cookie keeps you signed in.
- Google Analytics counts visits, only after you say yes where the law asks.
- No advertising cookies, nothing that tracks you across sites.

2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see how people find and use the site: pages viewed, searches, sign-ups, marks and shares. Advertising features are off, IP addresses are not stored, and nothing is shared with advertisers. Signed-in members are counted by an internal id, never by email or name.
In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs only after you choose OK on the cookie notice. Elsewhere it runs unless you choose No thanks. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views and load times. It sets no cookies, keeps nothing that identifies you, and does not follow you across sites.
3. Your choices
You can delete cookies in your browser at any time. Without the session cookie you can still browse the map; you just cannot sign in. Where the law asks for consent, we ask first.
Your theme and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and never leave your device.
