The short version

  • We collect what we need to run the site, and nothing more.
  • We never sell personal data and we show no ads.
  • Tools you connect get only what you approve.
  • You can see, export and delete your data.

This summary helps you read the document. It does not replace it.

1. Who is responsible

Komputer Labs LLC runs ailandscape.org and decides how your data is used. This policy covers the map, the community layer and Connect AI Landscape. To reach us about your data, write to hello@ailandscape.org.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address, name, handle and anything you add to your profile. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name and profile photo.
  • Activity: the tools you mark, rate, follow, submit or report.
  • Usage: pages viewed and actions such as sign-ups, marks and shares, through Google Analytics, only where you allow it (see Cookies), and page views without cookies through Cloudflare Web Analytics.
  • Technical: a session cookie, server logs (IP address, browser) kept for security, and error reports to fix bugs. Error reports leave out IP addresses, cookies, what you type into forms and the query part of links.

3. Why we use it

To run your account and show your marks and ratings. To rank tools by use. To keep the site safe from spam and fraud. We do not use your data for advertising.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: running the service you asked for (your account, marks and Pass); our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and understanding how it is used, with your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it; and our legal duties, such as keeping tax records.

4. Who we share it with

  • Stripe processes payments and payouts.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site, stores its data, keeps bots out and counts page views without cookies (Web Analytics).
  • Tools you connect with Connect AI Landscape get what you approve on the consent screen, usually your email.
  • Makers see counts of marks, and ratings, not who made them, unless your stack is public.
  • Google provides Sign in with Google and, if you allow it, Google Analytics.
  • Sentry receives error reports, without the personal details listed above.
  • Our email providers (Cloudflare, Resend) deliver sign-in links, invites and notices.

Some of these providers handle data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

5. What is public

Your profile, the ratings and notes you write, and your stack (the tools you marked I use this) unless you make it private in Settings.

6. How long we keep it

Account data stays while your account is open. When you delete your account we wipe your personal data within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Logs, error reports and analytics are kept for a limited time set with the providers above, then deleted. A waitlist entry stays until you join or ask us to remove it.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK or another region with a data protection law (such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA in California), you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data, and to object to some processing.

Wherever you live, write to hello@ailandscape.org and we answer within 30 days. You can also export or delete your data yourself in Settings. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

8. Age

You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
