What it does

hertz-dev is an 8.5B-parameter open base model from Standard Intelligence for real-time, full-duplex spoken conversation. It pairs an audio codec (hertz-codec) with an autoregressive transformer that predicts audio latents for two speakers at once, with about 120 ms latency on a single RTX 4090. Code is on GitHub under Apache 2.0 and checkpoints download from Standard Intelligence's servers.
