What it does

Llama is Meta's family of open-weights language models, released from 2023 to 2025 in sizes from small on-device models to large mixture-of-experts models, with Llama 4 the last generation. Weights are downloadable under Meta's community licence and widely fine-tuned and served by third parties. Meta's newer models, starting with Muse Spark in 2026, are released under the Muse name instead.
