What it does

Presidio is an open-source (MIT) toolkit for finding and removing personal data such as names, card numbers and phone numbers. It detects PII in text with named-entity recognition, patterns and checksums, then masks, replaces or encrypts it, and also redacts images and DICOM scans. It began at Microsoft and is now an independent community project under Data Privacy Stack.
