What it does

Angel is an open-source (Apache-2.0) distributed machine learning platform built on the parameter-server approach, developed by Tencent and Peking University. Written in Java and Scala, it partitions large model parameters across servers to train models such as logistic regression, factorization machines, GBDT and LDA, and runs on YARN. Spark on Angel adds graph algorithms and recommendation models.
