What it does

Databricks is a cloud data and AI platform built on a lakehouse that combines data lake storage with warehouse-style SQL analytics on open table formats such as Delta Lake. It covers data engineering pipelines, serverless SQL warehousing, governance with Unity Catalog, managed Postgres, natural-language analytics with Genie and agent building with Agent Bricks. It runs on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
