What it does

goose is an open-source (Apache-2.0) AI agent that runs on your machine as a desktop app, a CLI and an API, and can install, run, edit and test code. It works with many model providers, connects to tools through MCP extensions, and saves workflows as shareable YAML recipes. It was created at Block and is now part of the Agentic AI Foundation at the Linux Foundation.
