What it does

Ollama is an open-source tool (MIT) for downloading and running open language models on your own computer, through a command line, desktop apps and a local REST API, with Python and JavaScript libraries. It can also run larger models on Ollama's cloud, and it connects models to coding agents and apps such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode with one command.
