What it does

Portkey, now sold by Palo Alto Networks as Prisma AIRS AI Gateway, is an AI gateway that puts many model providers behind one API with routing, caching and batching. It adds observability dashboards, guardrails such as PII redaction, prompt management, an MCP gateway, budgets and role-based access for teams running AI apps in production. Its core gateway is also published as open source.
