Devin is an autonomous AI software engineer from Cognition that takes tasks from a web app, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Linear, Jira or GitHub and works in its own cloud virtual machine, with a shell, editor and browser, until a pull request is ready. It also maps codebases into DeepWiki, reviews pull requests for bugs and vulnerabilities, and runs scheduled automations.
