What it does

pool is Poolside's coding agent for the terminal. It reads code, answers questions, edits files, runs commands and uses MCP servers and skills, with approval prompts and sandboxes, and can act as an ACP agent inside compatible editors. It installs with one command on macOS and Linux (Windows in beta) and has free developer access via the Poolside Platform.
