What it does

Zed is an open-source code editor (GPL-3.0) from Zed Industries, written in Rust and drawn on the GPU with its own GPUI framework. It has built-in AI features with a choice of models, connects external coding agents through the Agent Client Protocol, which Zed created, and supports real-time collaboration. AI features are optional, and Zed runs on macOS, Windows and Linux.
